Dog Training Packages
John K9 offers many opportunities for dogs and their owners. We do our best to meet all needs of our clients. Our two most popular obedience programs are the Private Obedience Lessons and the Training Camp. The behaviors dogs learn over these programs are:
Heel, Sit, Stay, Come, Down, Place, Leave it, Off, Load, and Free dog.
The result of the dog in each program is the same— fully trained on and off leash with distractions
Private Obedience Lessons
The Private Obedience Lessons takes place at the John K9 facility in Plant City. This program requires the dog, trainer, and owner to meet once a week for 8-12 weeks. We request one consistent owner throughout this program, although others are invited to join. Between each lesson you are expected to practice with your dog for at least 15 minutes a day. Upon graduation, your dog will successfully learn the behaviors above, and you will be confident in yourself as your dog’s handler.
1 Dog - 8 to 12 lessons at $1,000 (training collar not included)
2 Dogs - 8 to 12 lessons at $1,800 (training collar not included)
Training Camp
The Training Camp takes place at the John K9 headquarters in Fort Meade (soon to be moving to Plant City). The kennel facility is located on our 42 acre lakefront property. The dogs comfortably reside in an indoor/outdoor run system, where they always have access to fresh water and toys. The facility is climate controlled and has a surveillance system. In this obedience program, your dog will successfully learn the behaviors above in about 3 to 4 weeks. At the end of the course, the dog, owner, and trainer will meet for an exit review at the facility in Plant City.

Puppy 101 Lessons (8-20 weeks old)
Our Puppy 101 class is a great opportunity to start your puppy on the right track. It involves discussion about crate and potty training, shaping of behaviors that will be used in our formal obedience programs (sit, down, come, place, etc), and some tips with socialization, house breaking, and general manners. It is a private weekly or biweekly course with puppies from 8-20 weeks of age. This takes place at our facility in Plant City.

John K9 Junior Camp (8-20 weeks old)
Our puppy camp is a 2 week program designed to make your lives easier! We introduce the foundations of potty training, sit, down, place and more. Once they are 16-20 weeks and have all of their shots they can begin one of our elite obedience training programs.
2 weeks at $1,800
